LOOKING FOR ROMANCE AND A DAY OF HAPPINESS!?
- - - chandler was sick and tired of being sick and tired. it sounded corny and very cliche, but it was true. every day her family would tell her how to live her life and every day it would drive her insane, after all, she didn't want to be told how to live, she just want to live. she was a quirky soul who needed to be free, like a pirate, but without the plundering and the being evil, this girl was too nice to be a pirate really. but then again, if her parents were going to be like this, she was tempted to run away and do whatever it takes to get out of verona beach, then again, she didn't really want to do that because, well, she'd miss her friends she had here. she thrived on being friends with people and without friends she would feel extremely lonely. she wasn't good with lonely and that was sure. she was always with friends and without them, her world crumbled really, she liked to pretend she was this super independant girl who knew exactly what she was doing all the time, but half the time, she was just making it up, seeing where the wind took her and most of all, where her friends took her. she was independent in some ways, she didn't need people to make every decision for her, but she did need help every so often.
- - - it was now that she kind of had to thank her parents for something, and that was her musical abilities. she had picked up a violin from a young age and was able to play a piano pretty soon afterwards. she exhaled heavily as she sat down at her piano, ready to play but first of all, she brought her head crashing down to the key cover. she let out a little 'oof' as her head collided with the solid oak cover. she felt stupid for just doing that, but then again, there was no one around and she particularly care at the moment. there was a small pain in her head, but she didn't care about that either, she had lost the will to care for most things. she just hated this feeling of being useless. since her brother died, she knew her parents were depressed and such, but they acted as if she wasn't, as if she wasn't realted to him and she didn't care. it was completely different, if anything she was more effected by the death of her brother because she loved him desperately, they had spent so much of their childhood together, her brother had practically raised her. the two of them were inseperable, but her parents had forgotten about that.
- - - slowly, the girl sat herself back up so she could actually play the piano before her. she inhaled slowly and let it out slowly too, making sure that she spent the exact same amount of time doing both. she carefully clasped her hands together and stretched them forward, cracking each of her knuckles, her parents always shouted at her for that, but it had become her little ocd thing she had to do every time she warmed up. she then clentched her hands and unclentched them again and finally opened the lid to the piano. looking at the keys she smiled lightly to herself and then nodded, she was ready, she was going to play. slowly, her slender fingers glided over each key as she played carefully as to make the song sound as perfect as possibly. she thrived on music and nothing was going to change that. most of her music was very sombre but at the same time, it seemed very pretty and romantic. she could sing too which helped her to show the way she really felt, her music was the only way she could let her emotions out. it was the main reason she took up playing piano because you couldn't really sing while playing the violin.
- - - the song rang through the small room as it finished and she looked around. she hadn't really looked around, she just looked up and pretended to look around so anyone who was listening to her, would make themselves known. she hated people listening to her music unless she had invited them to. she sometimes believed that people were just put here to annoy her and make some parts of her life just so depressing. her mother was also there to just make her life more complicated and force her to do things that she'd rather not do. she just wanted to run around, be friends with whoever she wanted and most of all, date whoever she wanted really. instead, she was restricted to being with the capulets which didn't give her much leeway with who she wanted to date or be friends with. her mother was pushing her into tybalt, but her heart kind of belonged to someone else, well, maybe more than someone else, she was just in love with being in love.
